Privacy Policy

Mirna is a private, shared space for two people. Because almost everything in it is created by a couple together, how we handle data is a little different from a normal app — so this policy explains not just what we collect, but what your partner can see and what happens when one of you leaves.

1. Who we are

Mirna is developed and operated by StayYoung Studio, a small independent studio based in Istanbul, Turkey. For the purposes of the GDPR and Turkey's KVKK, StayYoung Studio is the data controller. You can reach us at hello@stayyoungstudio.com.

2. What Mirna collects

Account information. You sign in with Google, or with Apple on iPhone. We receive your email address and, where the provider supplies it, your name. We never receive or store your password. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see Apple's private relay address.
Your profile. The display name you choose for your partner to see, your language, your time zone, and your relationship start date if you set one.
The things you create together. Plans, dates and memories, notes, coupons and points, anniversaries, wishlist items, and your answers to the daily questions.
Photos. You can add a cover photo to a memory and, with premium, up to nine more, as well as a photo to a place on your map. Over the life of a relationship a couple's archive can grow to hundreds of photos. They are stored in Google Cloud Storage and are visible only to the two of you.
Voice memos. With premium you can record one short voice memo, up to sixty seconds, on a memory. It is recorded on your device, uploaded to Google Cloud Storage, and visible only to the two of you. We never transcribe it, never analyse it, and never send it anywhere else. Recording needs microphone access, which Mirna asks for the first time you tap the record button — never before, and never at sign-up.
Places you save. When you drop a pin on your map, we store its coordinates, the name you give it, and any photo you attach. Mirna does not track your location in the background. If you allow location access, it is used only to centre the map on where you are at that moment.
Notification tokens. If you turn on notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver messages from your partner.
Basic usage data. A small number of app events, described in section 7.

We do not collect contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or health data. Mirna contains no advertising and no third-party trackers.

3. What your partner can see

This is the most important section in this policy, so we will be plain about it.

Once you connect with a partner, everything either of you adds to your shared space is visible to both of you. Memories, photos, voice memos, notes, plans, map pins, coupons and daily-question answers are shared by design. Your partner also sees your display name and can see when you have added something.

Your email address, your sign-in details and your subscription status are not shown to your partner.

Nothing in Mirna is private from the person you are connected to. If you do not want your partner to see something, do not put it in Mirna.

4. How we use your data

To run your shared space and sync it between the two of you
To send notifications you have asked for, such as when your partner is thinking of you or when a plan becomes a memory
To show your map, using Google Maps
To know whether your couple has an active subscription
To build the archive file when you ask to export your data
To understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it
To answer you when you contact us for support

Our legal bases are the performance of our agreement with you (running the app you signed up for), your consent (notifications, location and the microphone), and our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it.

5. Where your data is stored, and for how long

Your content is stored in Google Firebase — Cloud Firestore for text and structure, Cloud Storage for photos and voice memos. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Access is restricted by security rules so that only you and your connected partner can read your shared space.

Google's infrastructure is global, so your data may be processed outside Turkey and the EEA. Transfers rely on Google Cloud's standard contractual clauses.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Section 10 explains what happens when it does not. Two specific periods are worth naming:

A frozen shared space — the state a space enters when one of you unlinks (section 10) — is kept for as long as at least one of you still has a Mirna account. It is never deleted on a timer, because it is still yours to read and export.
An archive you export is built as a downloadable file and stored for 30 days, after which it is deleted automatically. The download link itself stops working after 7 days. You can build a new export whenever you like, including after you have asked us to delete your account.

6. Who else processes your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we never share your content with anyone for advertising. We rely on a small number of service providers:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage and push notifications
Google Maps — map display and place search; searches you perform are sent to Google
RevenueCat — manages your subscription status, identified only by your account ID
Mixpanel — usage analytics, described below
Apple and Google — payment processing for subscriptions

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

7. Analytics

We use Mixpanel to understand how Mirna is used. It is configured against Mixpanel's European endpoint, so this data is processed on EU infrastructure.

We want to be accurate rather than flattering here: these events are linked to your account identifier, so they are pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous. The events we currently record are limited to the app being opened, signing in, and signing out. We do not send your content, your photos, your voice memos, your notes, your locations or your partner's details to Mixpanel. If we add events later, we will update this policy.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Mirna offers an optional premium subscription on a monthly or annual basis. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never receive, process or store your card details. We only learn whether your couple's subscription is active, via RevenueCat.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the KVKK you have the right to access your data, correct it, export it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, and complain to your data protection authority.

Most of these are built into the app, so you do not need to ask us and you do not need to wait:

Access and correction. Your data is visible and editable inside Mirna, and either of you can delete individual memories, photos, voice memos, places and coupons at any time.
Export. Settings → Privacy & data → Export our archive builds a complete copy of your shared space: a readable web page you can open in any browser, a machine-readable data file, and every photo and voice memo at full quality. It is best opened on a computer.
Deletion. Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account. Section 10 sets out exactly what this erases and what stays with your partner.

If you would rather write to us, or you no longer have the app installed, email hello@stayyoungstudio.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also request deletion at mirna.app/delete-account.

You can turn notifications, location access and microphone access off at any time in your device settings.

10. Unlinking and deleting your account

Because a couple's memories are created by two people, this needs to be said clearly and in advance. There are three separate things you can do here, and they are not the same.

Unlinking — leaving the shared space

Either of you can unlink at any time, on your own. You never need the other person's permission to leave, and we will never add a step that requires it.
Unlinking freezes the shared space rather than deleting it. You can both still open everything you made and export a full copy; neither of you can add anything new. Nothing is deleted.
Your partner is told that you have unlinked.
If your couple had a premium subscription, premium ends for that shared space. The subscription itself stays with whoever bought it.

Reconnecting

If you and the same partner both still have your accounts, and neither of you has connected with someone else in the meantime, you can reconnect and the space comes back exactly as it was. Reconnecting takes both of you — one asks, the other accepts.

Connecting with someone new

You can be in one shared space at a time. If you connect with a new partner, you leave the frozen space behind and it stays, complete and unchanged, with your former partner. You will not be able to open it in Mirna afterwards, so export it first if you want your own copy. Your new space starts empty — no memories, photos, coupons or points carry over.

Deleting your account

This is permanent, and it is not the same as unlinking.

We erase your personal data. Your account and sign-in identity, your email address, your display name, your notification tokens, your points and your settings, and Mirna's data on your device.
Memories you made together stay with your partner. Shared entries remain in their copy of your space, with your name and your account removed from them — your name does not appear anywhere in what is left. We do this because those memories are your partner's record of their own life too, and one person's deletion should not erase another person's past. You are told this plainly, and offered an export, before you confirm.
When the second person deletes their account, everything goes. The shared space, every entry, every photo and every voice memo is permanently deleted. Nothing outlives you both.
If the last person leaves a shared space without deleting their account, that space is deleted automatically. Nobody can reach it, so it does not sit there.
Signing in again later creates a new, empty account. There is no route back to a space you have left.

If there is something you would rather not leave behind, you can delete individual memories, photos and voice memos yourself before you go. And if specific content needs to be removed for a reason this policy does not cover, write to us at hello@stayyoungstudio.com and we will look at it case by case.

11. Children

Mirna is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the app changes — for example when we add a new kind of content. The date at the top always shows the current version, and we will flag significant changes in the app.

Mirna, iki kişiye ait özel ve ortak bir alandır. İçindeki hemen her şey bir çift tarafından birlikte oluşturulduğu için, verileri ele alışımız sıradan bir uygulamadan biraz farklıdır. Bu nedenle bu politika yalnızca hangi verileri topladığımızı değil, partnerinizin neleri görebildiğini ve biriniz ayrıldığında ne olacağını da anlatır.

1. Biz kimiz

Mirna, İstanbul merkezli bağımsız bir stüdyo olan StayYoung Studio tarafından geliştirilmekte ve işletilmektedir. KVKK kapsamında veri sorumlusu StayYoung Studio'dur. Bize hello@stayyoungstudio.com adresinden ulaşabilirsiniz.

2. Mirna hangi verileri toplar

Hesap bilgileri. Google ile, iPhone'da ise Apple ile giriş yaparsınız. E-posta adresinizi ve sağlayıcı iletiyorsa adınızı alırız. Şifrenizi hiçbir zaman görmez ve saklamayız. Apple ile giriş yapıp e-postanızı gizlemeyi seçerseniz, yalnızca Apple'ın gizli yönlendirme adresini görürüz.
Profiliniz. Partnerinizin göreceği isim, diliniz, saat diliminiz ve belirlediyseniz ilişki başlangıç tarihiniz.
Birlikte oluşturduklarınız. Planlar, anılar, notlar, kuponlar ve puanlar, yıl dönümleri, dilek listesi ve günün sorularına verdiğiniz yanıtlar.
Fotoğraflar. Bir anıya bir kapak fotoğrafı, premium ile dokuz fotoğraf daha ve haritanızdaki bir yere de fotoğraf ekleyebilirsiniz. Bir ilişki boyunca çiftin arşivi yüzlerce fotoğrafa ulaşabilir. Bu fotoğraflar Google Cloud Storage'da saklanır ve yalnızca ikinize görünür.
Sesli notlar. Premium ile bir anıya en fazla altmış saniyelik kısa bir sesli not kaydedebilirsiniz. Kayıt cihazınızda yapılır, Google Cloud Storage'a yüklenir ve yalnızca ikinize görünür. Bu kayıtları hiçbir zaman metne dökmez, çözümlemez ve başka hiçbir yere göndermeyiz. Kayıt için mikrofon izni gerekir; Mirna bu izni yalnızca kayıt düğmesine ilk kez dokunduğunuzda ister — öncesinde değil, kayıt olurken hiç değil.
Kaydettiğiniz yerler. Haritanıza bir yer eklediğinizde konumunu, verdiğiniz ismi ve eklediğiniz fotoğrafı saklarız. Mirna konumunuzu arka planda takip etmez. Konum izni verirseniz, yalnızca haritayı o an bulunduğunuz yere ortalamak için kullanılır.
Bildirim anahtarları. Bildirimleri açarsanız, partnerinizden gelen mesajları iletebilmek için bir cihaz anahtarı saklarız.
Temel kullanım verisi. 7. bölümde anlatılan az sayıda uygulama olayı.

Rehberinizi, tarayıcı geçmişinizi, reklam kimliklerinizi veya sağlık verilerinizi toplamayız. Mirna'da reklam ve üçüncü taraf izleyici bulunmaz.

3. Partneriniz neleri görebilir

Bu, politikanın en önemli bölümü, o yüzden açıkça söyleyelim.

Bir partnerle bağlandığınız andan itibaren, ikinizden birinin ortak alana eklediği her şey ikinize de görünür. Anılar, fotoğraflar, sesli notlar, notlar, planlar, harita işaretleri, kuponlar ve günün sorusu yanıtları tasarımı gereği paylaşılır. Partneriniz ayrıca görünen adınızı görür ve bir şey eklediğinizi fark eder.

E-posta adresiniz, giriş bilgileriniz ve abonelik durumunuz partnerinize gösterilmez.

Mirna'da bağlı olduğunuz kişiden gizli hiçbir alan yoktur. Partnerinizin görmesini istemediğiniz bir şeyi Mirna'ya koymayın.

4. Verilerinizi nasıl kullanırız

Hukuki dayanaklarımız: sizinle kurduğumuz sözleşmenin ifası (kaydolduğunuz uygulamayı çalıştırmak), açık rızanız (bildirimler, konum ve mikrofon) ve uygulamayı çalışır tutup geliştirmeye yönelik meşru menfaatimizdir.

5. Verileriniz nerede ve ne kadar süreyle saklanır

İçeriğiniz Google Firebase üzerinde saklanır — metin ve yapı için Cloud Firestore, fotoğraflar ve sesli notlar için Cloud Storage. Cihazınızla sunucularımız arasındaki tüm trafik HTTPS/TLS ile şifrelenir. Güvenlik kuralları, ortak alanınızı yalnızca siz ve bağlı olduğunuz partnerinizin okuyabilmesini sağlar.

Google'ın altyapısı küresel olduğundan verileriniz Türkiye ve AEA dışında işlenebilir. Bu aktarımlar Google Cloud'un standart sözleşme hükümlerine dayanır.

Verilerinizi hesabınız var olduğu sürece saklarız. Hesabınız silindiğinde ne olacağı 10. bölümdedir. İki süreyi ayrıca belirtmek gerekiyor:

Dondurulmuş bir ortak alan — biriniz bağlantıyı kestiğinde alanın girdiği durum (10. bölüm) — ikinizden en az birinin Mirna hesabı durduğu sürece saklanır. Bir süre dolduğu için silinmez, çünkü hâlâ okuyabildiğiniz ve dışa aktarabildiğiniz sizin alanınızdır.
Dışa aktardığınız arşiv indirilebilir bir dosya olarak oluşturulur ve 30 gün saklandıktan sonra otomatik olarak silinir. İndirme bağlantısı ise 7 gün sonra çalışmayı bırakır. İstediğiniz zaman yeni bir arşiv oluşturabilirsiniz — hesabınızın silinmesini istedikten sonra bile.

6. Verilerinizi başka kim işler

Kişisel verilerinizi satmaz, kiralamaz veya takas etmeyiz ve içeriğinizi hiçbir zaman reklam amacıyla paylaşmayız. Az sayıda hizmet sağlayıcı kullanırız:

Google Firebase — kimlik doğrulama, veritabanı, dosya saklama ve bildirimler
Google Haritalar — harita ve yer araması; yaptığınız aramalar Google'a iletilir
RevenueCat — abonelik durumunuzu yönetir, yalnızca hesap kimliğinizle tanımlar
Mixpanel — aşağıda anlatılan kullanım analitiği
Apple ve Google — abonelik ödemelerinin işlenmesi

Hukuken zorunlu olduğu hallerde de veri paylaşabiliriz.

7. Analitik

Mirna'nın nasıl kullanıldığını anlamak için Mixpanel kullanırız. Mixpanel'in Avrupa uç noktasına bağlıdır, dolayısıyla bu veriler AB altyapısında işlenir.

Burada gurur okşayıcı değil doğru olmayı tercih ediyoruz: bu olaylar hesap kimliğinizle ilişkilendirilir, yani tamamen anonim değil, takma adlıdır. Şu anda kaydettiğimiz olaylar uygulamanın açılması, giriş ve çıkış ile sınırlıdır. İçeriğinizi, fotoğraflarınızı, sesli notlarınızı, notlarınızı, konumlarınızı veya partnerinizin bilgilerini Mixpanel'e göndermeyiz. İleride yeni olaylar eklersek bu politikayı güncelleriz.

8. Abonelikler ve ödemeler

Mirna aylık veya yıllık, isteğe bağlı bir premium abonelik sunar. Satın alma işlemleri tamamen Apple App Store veya Google Play tarafından yürütülür. Kart bilgilerinizi hiçbir zaman almaz, işlemez veya saklamayız. RevenueCat aracılığıyla yalnızca çiftinizin aboneliğinin etkin olup olmadığını öğreniriz.

9. Haklarınız

KVKK ve GDPR kapsamında verilerinize erişme, düzeltme, dışa aktarma, silinmesini isteme, kullanımına itiraz etme ve ilgili veri koruma kurumuna şikâyette bulunma haklarına sahipsiniz.

Bunların çoğu uygulamanın içine yerleşiktir; bizden talep etmenize ve beklemenize gerek yoktur:

Erişim ve düzeltme. Verileriniz Mirna içinde doğrudan görünür ve düzenlenebilir; ikinizden biri istediği zaman tek tek anıları, fotoğrafları, sesli notları, yerleri ve kuponları silebilir.
Dışa aktarma. Ayarlar → Gizlilik ve veriler → Arşivimizi dışa aktar, ortak alanınızın eksiksiz bir kopyasını oluşturur: her tarayıcıda açabileceğiniz okunabilir bir web sayfası, makinelerin okuyabileceği bir veri dosyası ve tüm fotoğraflarınız ile sesli notlarınız, tam kalitede. En iyisi bilgisayarda açmaktır.
Silme. Ayarlar → Gizlilik ve veriler → Hesabı sil. Bunun tam olarak neyi sildiği ve partnerinizde neyin kaldığı 10. bölümdedir.

Bize yazmayı tercih ederseniz veya uygulama artık kurulu değilse hello@stayyoungstudio.com adresine yazın; 30 gün içinde yanıt veririz. Silme talebinizi mirna.app/delete-account sayfasından da iletebilirsiniz.

Bildirim, konum ve mikrofon izinlerini dilediğiniz zaman cihaz ayarlarınızdan kapatabilirsiniz.

10. Bağlantıyı kesmek ve hesabınızı silmek

Bir çiftin anıları iki kişi tarafından oluşturulduğu için bunu önceden ve net biçimde söylememiz gerekiyor. Burada yapabileceğiniz üç ayrı şey var ve bunlar birbirinin aynısı değil.

Bağlantıyı kesmek — ortak alandan ayrılmak

İkinizden biri, tek başına ve istediği zaman bağlantıyı kesebilir. Ayrılmak için diğerinin iznine asla ihtiyacınız olmaz ve bunu gerektiren bir adım hiçbir zaman eklemeyeceğiz.
Bağlantıyı kesmek ortak alanı silmez, dondurur. İkiniz de oluşturduğunuz her şeyi açmaya ve eksiksiz bir kopyasını dışa aktarmaya devam edebilirsiniz; ancak ikiniz de yeni bir şey ekleyemezsiniz. Hiçbir şey silinmez.
Partnerinize bağlantıyı kestiğiniz bildirilir.
Çiftinizin premium aboneliği varsa, o ortak alan için premium sona erer. Aboneliğin kendisi, satın alan kişide kalır.

Yeniden bağlanmak

Aynı partnerle ikinizin de hesabı duruyorsa ve bu arada hiçbiriniz başka biriyle bağlanmadıysa, yeniden bağlanabilirsiniz; alan tam olarak bıraktığınız gibi geri gelir. Yeniden bağlanmak ikinizi de gerektirir — biri ister, diğeri kabul eder.

Yeni biriyle bağlanmak

Aynı anda yalnızca tek bir ortak alanda olabilirsiniz. Yeni bir partnerle bağlanırsanız dondurulmuş alanı geride bırakırsınız ve o alan eksiksiz ve değişmeden eski partnerinizde kalır. Sonrasında onu Mirna'da açamazsınız; kendinize bir kopya istiyorsanız önce dışa aktarın. Yeni alanınız bomboş başlar — anılar, fotoğraflar, kuponlar ve puanlar aktarılmaz.

Hesabınızı silmek

Bu kalıcıdır ve bağlantıyı kesmekle aynı şey değildir.

Kişisel verilerinizi sileriz. Hesabınız ve giriş kimliğiniz, e-posta adresiniz, görünen adınız, bildirim anahtarlarınız, puanlarınız ve ayarlarınız ile Mirna'nın cihazınızdaki verileri.
Birlikte oluşturduğunuz anılar partnerinizde kalır. Paylaşılan kayıtlar onun kopyasında kalır; adınız ve hesabınız bu kayıtlardan çıkarılır — geriye kalanların hiçbir yerinde adınız görünmez. Bunu yapıyoruz çünkü o anılar aynı zamanda partnerinizin kendi hayatının kaydıdır ve bir kişinin silme kararı bir başkasının geçmişini yok etmemelidir. Onaylamadan önce bu size açıkça söylenir ve dışa aktarma imkânı sunulur.
İkinci kişi de hesabını sildiğinde her şey silinir. Ortak alan, tüm kayıtlar, her fotoğraf ve her sesli not kalıcı olarak silinir. Hiçbir şey ikinizden de uzun yaşamaz.
Bir ortak alandaki son kişi hesabını silmeden ayrılırsa, o alan otomatik olarak silinir. Kimse ona ulaşamayacağı için orada öylece durmaz.
Daha sonra yeniden giriş yapmak yeni ve boş bir hesap oluşturur. Geride bıraktığınız bir alana dönüş yolu yoktur.

Geride bırakmak istemediğiniz bir şey varsa, ayrılmadan önce tek tek anıları, fotoğrafları ve sesli notları kendiniz silebilirsiniz. Belirli bir içeriğin bu politikada kapsanmayan bir nedenle kaldırılması gerekiyorsa hello@stayyoungstudio.com adresine yazın; durumu tek tek değerlendiririz.

11. Çocuklar

Mirna 16 yaşın altındakiler için tasarlanmamıştır. Çocuklardan bilerek veri toplamayız. Bir çocuğun bize kişisel veri verdiğini düşünüyorsanız bizimle iletişime geçin, ivedilikle sileriz.

12. Bu politikadaki değişiklikler

Uygulama değiştikçe — örneğin yeni bir içerik türü eklediğimizde — bu politikayı güncelleriz. Üstteki tarih her zaman geçerli sürümü gösterir ve önemli değişiklikleri uygulama içinde bildiririz.
